The organised visit, arranged by Richard Totty, is to view the whole church but principally to see the medieval paintings on the wooden panels that were featured in the Society's January Newsletter pages 4-5.
The programme will be:
10.00 am - Arrival
10.10 am - Welcome by the Churchwarden(s)
10.15 am - 11.00 am (approx.) - A talk given by Dr Nigel Tringham on the Lords of the Manor of Hamstall Ridware and the Painted Panels
11.00 am - 12.00 noon - A guided tour of the church and churchyard by Sarah Elsom and/or Churchwardens (possibly splitting the group into two depending on numbers)
12.00 noon - Tea, coffee and biscuits
12.30 pm - Departure
There is ample parking close to the church which is approached through a field. In case of need for SatNav and location: St Michael & All Angels Church, Blithbury Road, Hamstall Ridware, Rugeley, WS15 3RS.
